Lisa is a freelance accompanist and is Principal Pianist for a number of award winning, Dorset based Choirs. She has been fortunate enough to perform with them for John Rutter and in workshop and concert settings under the baton of composer Will Todd. Her work has led to performances at The Royal Festival Hall, St. John Smith’s Square and The American Embassy in London. She has had successful partnerships with other musicians including a popular series of concerts for two pianos and a competition win which led to two recitals in Sydney, Australia sponsored by Qantas airlines.
Her solo work includes playing at National Trust properties and other historic houses, such as the Jane Austen House Museum, as part of a project she began in 2012 called ‘Musitiquity’. Her successful group of musicians combine their passions for music and history by playing period music in a period setting with authentic costume, in order to bring the past
Her mentor and inspiration for over a decade was International Pianist and Composer Clifford Benson, whose musicianship and insight she has always endeavoured to pass on to her own students, both during her ten years as Piano Tutor at Southampton University and in private practice.
Sue is a freelance accompanist and pianist. After studying at the Royal College of Music, she worked for ILEA and Hampshire Music Service as a music co-ordinator. She now accompanies several choirs and soloists and leads the music worship at a variety of churches in the Wimborne area
